People Living on the Street Need Your Help!

Solving street homelessness will take help from everyone. As the temperature drops and rain turns to sleet and snow, the plight of our city’s most desperate citizens is growing worse.
Vision is calling on all our members and supporters to help people suffering from street homelessness this winter by donating any blankets, winter clothes, boots, and warm socks you can spare.
If you don’t have any of these items please consider making a financial donation to one of the groups below.
You can drop off items at any of the following organizations:
RainCity Housing and Support Society
Triage Emergency Shelter (707 Powell Street)
Drop Off Time: Anytime – just ring their buzzer. Should you choose to call ahead, their contact information is 604-662-7023 and fromer@raincityhousing.org
First United Church Mission
First United Church (320 E Hastings Street)
Drop Off Time: Contact the church at 604-681-8365 or at mission.office@firstunited.ca to arrange a drop off time
Portland Hotel Society
The Jackson Hotel (475 E Hastings Street)
Drop Off Time: Tuesdays (8 AM – 8 PM) OR contact Kailin See at kailins@phs.ca or 778-997-3930 to arrange an alternative time
Ross Street Temple
Bin in the lobby of the Ross Street Temple (8000 Ross Street)
Drop Off Time: 9AM – 8 PM. Seven days a week
If you have items to donate, but are unable to drop them off yourself, you can call us at 604-568-6913 or email us and we will pick up the items.
This blanket drive is the first of several initiatives Vision Vancouver intends to undertake this winter to help people experiencing street homelessness.
