Tim Stevenson
Tim was first elected to City Council alongside Mayor Larry Campbell in 2002. He was re-elected in 2005 and again in 2008 and has spent his career pursuing the values of equality and justice.
His unwavering commitment to public service has spanned through a range of front line work including volunteering at the Downtown East Side's First United Church, becoming Canada's first openly gay Minister, monitoring human rights overseas, and serving in public office as a BC Cabinet Minister and a City Councillor.
By working to protect renters in the city, expand homeless outreach programs, and his commitment to creating a social housing legacy for the Olympic Games, Tim has proved to be a passionate advocate for change. He has also worked with the Vision team towards eliminating plastic bags throughout the city and banning bottled water from municipal facilities.
