East Side Art Cycle

Initiated in 2008, the mural project has had contributions by more than sixty local artists, students and members of the community. Overall, more than 8,000 square feet of murals has been completed. East Vancouver, home to hundreds of artists, annual arts festivals and community events, has a diverse and complex past.

The art cycle tour of the murals will launch at 2:15 pm starting at “Celebrating Life on the Drive,” Fratelli’s Bakery, (2nd Ave. at Commercial Drive), followed by “Britannia Legacy Mural” (Britannia Community Centre’s ‘Gym C’), “Crossings” (Adanac bike-route, west of Clark Drive), finishing at Strathcona’s historic Russian Hall (600 Campbell Ave. at Keefer St.).
