Election Day
Election Day is on November 19th.  You can find out where your voting station is by calling 3-1-1 or at www.vancouver.ca/elections. You will need to provide either your voting card, or two pieces valid ID (at least one with your current address). 

Valid ID
Valid ID includes BC Driver's Licence, BC Care Card, Canadian Passport, Social Insurance card, Citizenship Card, credit card, debit card or utility bill.  If you have any questions about the type of ID you have and whether it is considered valid, please call City Information at 311. 

Need a ride to the polls?
Call the Vision campaign office at 604-568-6914 for a ride to the polls.

Registering to Vote
You can no longer register in advance of voting day. You will have to register at your election day voting station.

Voting Assistance
If you require assistance marking your ballot, either an Election Official or someone you have brought with you can assist after they have taken an oath to preserve the secrecy of the ballot.

Translation services will be available at some polling station- ask upon your arrival.  You may also bring someone to aid in translation.  They will have take an oath to preserve the secrecy of your ballot if helping you vote.

Special Voting
Special voting opportunities will be provided in medical or assisted living facilities.  A schedule for special voting opportunities will be posted for eligible facilities.

University Endowment Lands
As the University Endowment Lands (UEL) are outside the City of Vancouver boundaries, UEL residents are not eligible to vote for Mayor, Councillors, Park Commissioners or borrowing questions. UEL residents may only vote for School Trustees at either of the UEL Voting Locations.  UEL residents may also vote in the election for Electoral Area A Director, which is conducted by Metro Vancouver.
